Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the sale and effective day to day operation and maintenance of the Gym & Pool Area, Guest Service, Equipment, maintenance activities and promotion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct an appraisal of all members and guests intending to use the Gym & Swimming Pool in order to ensure their safety.
- Prepared tailored training programs as requested by guests.
- Supervise all guest activity and assist with instruction as necessary.
- Liaise with the Front Office Manager regarding development of new services for income generation.
- Carry out and supervise daily cleaning of all equipment and liaise with the Engineering department to ensure that all equipment are well maintained at all times.
- Ensure that all guests follow rules and regulations regarding safety, security and procedures.
- Must make sure that all equipment used is maintained correctly.
- To be vigilant with exercise techniques ensuring safe usage of all equipment and the gym area, offering assistance where it is needed.
- Organizing training programs or workshops for outsider.
- To lead and evaluate the team.
- Perform other duties/shifts and responsibilities as directed by immediate supervisor or Manager.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
- Carry out all necessary administration i.e., purchase requests, store requisitions and reports pertaining the Gym & Swimming Pool.
- To be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all equipment in the Gym & Swimming Pool.
- To be aware and implement all relevant aspects of Health and safety legislation and company procedures there to.
- Attends training courses, internal & external which management deems as essential.
- To carry out any reasonable requests made by the management in the undertaking of any duties within the hotel.
- To maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as laid down by the Front Office Manager.
