Senior Accountant with 3+ years accounting experience, needed for a leading multinational company in Qatar.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor degree in accounting / finance / audit.
- 3+ years accounting experience.
- Must be residing in Qatar and preferably under family sponsorship or holding a transferable visa.
- Hard-worker and self-motivated.
- Experience with multinational companies is a plus.
- Good command of English.
Job description:
- To assist the Finance Manager in meeting all the financial figures required by the job.
- To supervise the workflow of accountants and replace the Finance Manager in case of absence/travel.
- To ensure the creation and maintenance of accurate accounts and logs of fixed assets, ledgers, journals, inventory stock-takes, financial reports and all other accounting processes, transactions, credit and collection policies and processes, daily income report, cash and banking procedures and all other reporting requirements in line with local legal and international finance regulations.
- To monitor adequacy of funds and report anticipated cash deficiencies to the Finance Manager and the preparation and payment to creditors and payroll.
- To maintain and follow internal financial procedure including purchasing, maintenance and servicing for all equipment and supplies to ensure the smooth & efficient operations of the Company.
- To ensure that the property, assets and liabilities of the assigned office are adequately protected against risk and report any deficiencies to Finance Manager.
- To apply the procedures for the internal authorization, verification.
- Prepare daily, and month–end transactions
- Prepare monthly Bank reconciliation, PVs, update monthly fixed assets register, maintain petty cash and handling Inter-company Balances and reconciliation.
- Problem solving, Commitment to excellence in everything, teamwork and sound communication skills with team members.
- To constantly monitor the role functionality; to maintain accurate, up-to-date records and submit regular monthly reports to agreed standards as required to ensure the remit’s effectiveness is maximized and its activities are in line with overall Group business strategy.
- To constantly look for ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the role; to suggest and implement improvements to internal procedures and controls to improve efficiency, reduce costs and to promote and protect the business interests of the Company wherever possible.
- To carry out duties as tasked, ensuring that the Company service standards, objectives, internal policies & procedures and code of conduct are met or exceeded at all times.
- The role requires high levels of numeracy and commercial awareness and the job holder should deliver the highest quality at all times by being obsessed with detail and consistent high degree of accuracy even when under pressure.
