Cost of gooood living package in Doha

Hello everybody,

I would want to express that the topic shouldn't offend anybody and this better not go around "what is good for whom" kind of discussions.

I am asked to move to Qatar for a managerial position in an American company.

So questions are very basic.

What is the rent cost for a fancy house with a garden in a compound at a favourite location? I am being offered 12k QAR. Would that do? Or do i need 15-16k QAR?

What is the monthly cost of renting or buying a german car? Lets say an AUDI Q7 Would 2200 QAR do?

What is the annual cost of an American or British school for the elemantary class? I am being offered 5000 USD (not QAR) annual as an allowance.

And finally what should be the salary to spend for eating, shopping and saving generously. 17k or 27k QAR?

Please advise since i need to make a difficult decision to move.

Thanks

with due all respect,i sometimes think that others do post only to tell how big is their salary and pretending to ask something about qatar cause they're new here.you dont have to tell your salary.keep it in you.just ask anything you want to know w/o showing or expressing something that will make other think you are boastful.however, there's nothing wrong with asking.always remmbr that you will never know if u will not try it.

Yes , as Mandi said, it will get you nice enough, but not great.

Saving depends on your style of living. Going out here is not cheap.

confusing data!!!! u must know what exactly you'll get in hand, per month.

apparently, it seems you have to compromise on some of your high end dreams if you want to save generously,

child edu allow will most probably be against actual bills and can't be added to ur salary..

Only the education allotment is inadequate. But you are talking nice compound and modest vehicle, not top-of-the-line for that amount.

the gross base offer is 210000 QAR annual

+ 143000 QAR housing allowance

+ 28000 QAR transport

+ 5300USD per child education

all annual

I am to accept more for 380000 QAR as base. rest doesn't change.

I want to know how well would that do.

You’ve been offered a salary of a junior and you have extravagant taste, how's that?

villa does not cost 20-40!

your range is between 15-22 maximum! (You might find furnished)

Furniture 50-70 K (Best Quality)

Q7 5000-6000 monthly

school, i have no idea

If you are earning well in your country do not come, its boring here for children.

Also, why you want to live an extravagant life while you can save money and live in a medium living mode!

Very nice-Great villa: QAR 20-40k /month

Audi Q7 (3.6) QAR 5500 /month bank installments over 60 months

Living nicely:: QAR 15-20k per month

American School: QAR 75k per year per kid

What else?

Sorry to disappoint you,

a fancy house with a garden in a compound at a favourite location and renting or buying a german car (an AUDI Q7) are NOT possible to afford in pkg of 17-27 QAR per month,

yes you can afford it if it's 27K per WEEK.

PS : not a difficult decision, ask 100K per month as you also want "eating, shopping and saving generously"
