I am working in Qatar and applied for family visa.

But My wife passport is ECR status.

I want to shift my family to qatar as long as i am working in qatar.

Now the question is my wife has to get the clearance or not.

If yes where and whom to contact

Appreciate your advice and help.

sir, i have ECR passport I want to change my passport ECNR in Doha-Qatar.but i have business visa.Can i change in Doha-Qatar. please advise me.

ECNR Status is required for work visa, for family visit visa it is not a requirement.

ECr has been relaxed a lot now adays,

a person who is X or XII pass will get a ECNR status provided to submitting the passing documents.

I hope your wife is atleast Xth pass.

If not then she can change the status once she is in Qatar stating she is a housewife based onyour family status.
