so i am not sure which fish is best to make fish curry and fish  fry as i am from india,,we do hav lots of river fish and sea fish,,,i think king fish ,mackeral, and salmon is the common one here and there

You can get them cleaned in all the major hypermarkets like Lulu, Almeera, Giants, FFC etc. Shafi is ok if you fry but as mentioned by the other QLer you should remove the skin otherwise it will be a bit bitter in taste. Further more you might not like Shafi like most of the other Indians. Go for Jesh, Zubaidi, Kingfish, Mackerel, Hammour, Baidha etc.

i can suggest if you do not like to clean the fish, try to visit Al Meera in Mansoura, you can buy fish there and you can request to clean it for you and also in carrefour.

As you are from India, I think you should go with mackerel, kingfish, prawn, sardine, subaidi, hammour etc. Shafi is mainly used by the locals and will be bit expensive. Shaeri will be with a lot of scales and is good for frying and will be good to use in certain months (Septmber to December). During other months it will smell mud. Gorkufan is good for frying and will be the cheapsest other than sardine. You can also try baidha which is similar to gorkufan but whiter one and tastier than gorkufan. Jesh is another fish which can be used for curry and fry.

Go to the fish section of Lulu Hypermarket where you can find most of the varieties available in Qatar with their names tagged.
