Hey all,
I am lloking forward to enrole my 3 year old daughter at the French School here in Doha starting next year that starts Spet.2006
As you know, they require parents to speak French, and as you don't know,my French is as good as my Chinese ;) lol
So can anyone help with advice on how to learn French?? Does anyone know someone at the school, someone I can go meet in person and help??
I contacted the Centre Culture (Spelling!!!!),has anyone tried it?? are they good??
Hope to get your feedback on this.

Hey butterfly,

Thanx a lot for your info, I think I will have to start with going over there and try to meet the principal at the school and talkto her and see what chances i have to get my daughter in.

I heard it's very competitive but i still hope i can do it.

Hi dentist,

Sorry, I don’t know anybody who works at the French school, only parents who have their kids there and apparently is very very good.

I’ve heard they are very strict with admissions when the parents are not French nationals, so I wish you good luck. Definitely it would be a plus if you or your wife could learn a little French.

The French Cultural Centre is good, but expensive! Why don’t you start getting a book with CD rooms or something, at least to learn the basics, and then you could enrol with the FCC and get a more advanced level?.

I’m not so good with French (my husband keeps telling me off about my bad French :o( ) but I’m sure getinandstayin would be happy to give you some lessons
