Please help me to know if this is a good offer.

I'm feeling very confused because the housing the company can provide is shared, and four persons in one apartment of only two bedrooms. Will it be possible to find a one-bedroom apartment with such an offer and still be able to save, knowing that I'm single??

My offer is:
1. Basic salary - QR 6, 500.00 per month.

2.Housing Allowance - QR 2,000.00 per month or Company Provided (shared).

3. Transportation - Company Provided. Leave Pay - 21 days per year.

4.Ticket - Airline ticket every one year to home of record.

5.Insurance - Life Insurance (ALICO up to QR50,000 Premium). in case of natural death Work Men's Compensation - Qatar Insurance Company in case of accident during working hours.

6.Medical - Health Card (Hamad Hospital) Company Provided.

7.Overtime Pay - As required and paid per Qatari Labor Law.

THANKS

Locals have their own houses, it's just the expats who have to deal with the crazy rents. As for living outside of Doha...definitely not recommended especially that ur a woman and single. The other cities basically have nothing (it's like u went 100 years back in time) and are mostly filled with construction workers, labourers, etc so u stay put in Doha young lady!

Think this is a good idea, to share housing the first month and start to look for an apartment slowly myself. Housing sounds to be a real problem for everyone as I read here. I couldn't believe the BIG rents for 2 or 3 bedrooms apartments - that is making it impossible for families in Qatar!!!

But how do natives live there by the way?? Can they afford the increasing rents or they just own their houses?

And I was wondering if housing is very expensive like that in ALL Qatar or just in Doha??? I know Qatar is a small country and it should not be a problem for anyone - me at least - to live more comfortable outside Doha and drive a longer time to work?!!

come down first, as DARUDE told, first settle down in shared accommodation, then when u come to know about doha start searching slowly, u may get one within 2000 or not in 2000 at least by 3000 but patience required to search accommodation here in doha

My problem is that I hate to share a bedroom (which is the accommodation that can be provided by company), otherwise they pay me only QR 2000 for housing allowance, and as I read here it does not sound like I will be able to find a one bedroom apartment with 2000, and it means that I will have to pay of my QR 6.500 basic salary. So what do you think??
