Yes, I think Gulftimes has a great popularity amongst Expats from different backgrounds and nations.

English is worldwide language such as French and Spanish

and everybody uses it than using his own tongue to ease communication

world should communicate with each other to make life more comfortable.

we should mention that Qatar Tribune and The Peninsula are popular too.

last week i saw by chance a tabloid in English for the first time, it focuses on ads like Al-Wasset. THAT IS GOOD Development

dear abdulla,

you are right there are a dozen indian languages. but the reference of "indian newspapers" was NOT meant to be "total" of all languages...NO !!!

the most newspaper with the most readershp in India is not in ENGLISH........not the national language HINDI....

but a small state of regional language called MALAYALAM...there is a newspaper MALAYALA MANORAMA ....I heard the circulation is now 1.7 million !!!!! No Indian language can beat this number

In Qatar, yes, GT is the number one !!

Gulf times are being read by most of the nationalities because it is published in English, and preferred by most of the nationalities in Qatar. But the best selling newspaper is not the Gulf Times. Each Indian newspapers are being produced 30 times more than Gulf Times everyday, and not even enough for the Indian readers here in Qatar.

Happy reading!

By English speaking expats, I believe yes. But I highly doubt it's the most read by Qataris as there are Arabic newpapers as well.
