I would advice not to take the offer, its not worth it, the amount of increase you are getting will be spent on the cost of general living expenses.

Oman is much more beautiful as well!

The company office is in Ras Laffan Industrial Area and we are sitting in RasGas Company Ltd.

WHERE IS THIS PLACE...IS IT NEAR TO dOHA? how much is accomodation exp for 1 Room for bachelor in this area? pls help...

Two totally different countries, even if they are GCC. Just because you are offered more money, does not mean you will be able to save more money.

In Muscut you are saving 600 riyals mean about QRs.6500/=(aprox) I don't think you will be able to save this much in Qatar for this package. HERE EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE FOR NOTHING,

If you're after savings, decent life style, being treated with respect, like seeing greenery as you have there in Oman, and freedom to do what you want... Don't leave Oman.

I second "Meaningful's" comment and is exactly why I wrote my first comment above theirs. I've been to Oman plenty of times and could only dream of working there. Almost 90% of anyone who I've met coming from Oman, has always said they regret leaving and it's near to impossible for them to get back.

The company called TRANSFIELD WORLEY TRAGS, is it a good company to start up in Qatar. The offer i get is like

Salary including accomodation 13,000 + Travelling + Annual flight ticket for 30 days paid leave + Family status after marriage (No family flat).

Now I am in Muscat and earning around QR 9000/- and saving around 6000 a month from here.....

One more question Can I come without cancelling the visa here? Any problem for getting two visa of different countries in the same time??

I met many indians coming from oman they regret leaving oman, it is not the matter of money only. there a lot to consider. think twice!

I heard that cost of living is cheaper in OMAN. So the increase you might be getting on transfering here may eventually be eaten up by high inflation.

Not a good deal, if i may say.

Try asking for at least double of what you're getting and it may just work out fine.

Its an American company, their office used to be beside old Mercedes Showroom along Shara Karaba, but new office transfered somewhere at West Bay area, the twin building close to Sheraton R/A. I had a friend who used to work there, their work is 5 days a week but from 8am-6pm. I think they're subcontract for RasGas.

If you are not into frequent night life parties, 13k is good enough for you to save...but with that amount, you can only find a sharing accommodation.

And also about visa....any problem for getting work permit for Indian ?????

That means he is getting 900 riyals = 9,000/- Qrs.

Single bedroom flat may be you will get around Qrs.3,000/- and other expenses like food transport etc. is 1500/-.

But the other option is you will get a sharing accomadation around Qrs. 1500/- with sharing bathroom and kitchen. Then your total expenses will reduce means around 3000/- so you will save 13,000 - 3,000 = 10,000.

Decision is yours.

OR 900/- corresponds to QR 9300/-..

he is getting an increase of almost QR4000/-
