How long is it typical to wait for flight information and relocating information after being offered a job

I was offered a job in Qatar about two weeks ago and I am just wondering how long is the typical wait to get flight and relocation information. I am supposed to be in Qatar by the end of August but my employer has yet to give my flight and relocation information. Should I be worried? I turned down a couple of positions from other countries to work in Qatar. I am just wondering if I made the right decision.
Personal experiences on this issue will really help me. Thank you

I'm in the same position as you, I've been waiting 6 months since I was offered the job. My agent has confirmed the validity of the offer (It's with the Qatari Government), but has been told to be patient. As for a school position, I guess you will hear something before the beginning of the new term.

Good luck

Dave

It's an international school and I have a copy of the offer package. I understand that most companies have you sign the contract when you get to Qatar. I just want to make sure that I am not worried for nothing.

Thanks for the answers guys. I really appreciate it

Let us know which company it is so we can give you an idea on the reliability. But it is the general rule here not to be in a hurry. They usually do eberything at the last minute. However do you have a sample of the contract or something in writing?

I guess the answer revolves around who the company is. If it is a large well known company, then you shouldn't be worried, and it would be legitimate to call them to find out what is happening - with any company you should be following them up.
