Sonyia - they didn't shift their National Day. September 3rd wasIindependence day (when the gained independence from the British protectorate). They decided that 18th December (when "Shaikh Jassim, the founder of the State of Qatar, succeeded his father, Shaikh Muhammad Bin Thani, as the ruler and led the country toward unity.") would be a better day to celebrate, and called it National Day.

And it's not Independence Day. That was the 3rd September. Now it's called National Day.

Now its 18th December before it was 3rd of September. And most of the people dont know that before it was 22 of February.

Wish all of you and Qatar a very Happy Independence Day from Intelligent.

Peace.

Actually this is the 2nd time they've celebrated National Day on the 18th December; last year and this year.

Last year they didn't do much to celebrate it though.
