For what you are earning in Kerala, and looking at your offer, I think it's worth considering it. But please take note of the advice given by other QL members as to living conditions, inflation, etc.   I happen to meet a guy from India who was earning Rs10,000 per month in India and accepted a job here (construction industry) for only QR1,200 (would it translate to Rs12,000?) and is regretting taking up the offer.

One word of caution: You should ignore all future promises by the employer i.e. family allowance(after one year), etc.  Wha is important is what is being offered NOW.... there's every chance that your employer might not provide any extras apart from what is provided in the written contract. All the best in your decision making.

I would forget this offer for this job.

The inflation rate, accommodation costs and general living cost are so high here in Qatar that there is no way you could survive let alone save anything.

Good Luck......

This Salary is Ok if you prefer Bachelor life in Qatar,

Your housing would be shared if you require good savings

and your food would cost somewhere around 1000 Qrs

if you were to eat at some indian restaurants that serve

for low income people and would cost more than 2000 otherwise

How about your transportation? is it Company provided?

Shared housing is available from 600-1500 and above

Single bedroom would be 2000 and above if private

Being with your wife here would cost you somewhere about

3000-3500 + transportation.

With the current situations you cant survive in Doha with this salary...

To stay happy with family...salary should be minimum 10 K + Company provided accomodation + Benefits...
