Kabayan,

I suggest you bring some medicines which you can use for emergency purpose for head ache, stomach ache, and some common meds.Just don't bring liquid type. Don't ever bring pork or chicharon as it is forbidden here. Bring

enough clothes both for cold weather and summer because clothings here are quite expensive for a good quality- Specially undies which is quite difficult to find our typical Pinoy taste and size.

and bring your guts and patience along and you will survive as most of us did! Qatar is for work work and work most of the time!

God Bless...

With respect to the note of the moderator, this guy is asking briefly the things that are needed for him to prepare before flying to Doha in June 2009.

To answer the question:

You can buy almost everything that you need here in Doha (food and other living stuffs). I suggest you follow strictly the luggage limit precribed by your airline and bring only the important ones. Know the details about your accommodation and transport, you will need to consider this in finalizing your praparations. Also, know the dresscode in your work so that you will bring the correct clothing when you come here. Prices of clothes here are more expensive than in the Philippines.

Do not forget all the important documents (identification, credentials, etc.).

If you plan to bring your SIM, do not forget to turn ON your roaming.

And of course, a little pocket money. Since you will be provided with free accommodation and transport, I think QR 500 to QR 1000 will be enough for you to survive until you receive your first salary.

Goodluck!

you dont need to bring blanket and bedsheet what I knew is when they have accomodation, bedsheet and blanket are usually provided. Some company gives you grocery but not all groceries what they give is the basic one such as breads, coffee, milk more on food, additional food only survival for 2 days
