Hi friends,

I have been selected for a short term assignment in Doha from August - December 2006. I am from India and going to be away from my family for this period.

Are there any internet cafes around in Doha where I can chat with my wife and family atleast 2-3 times a week?Are there enough Internet cafes out in Doha? What are the approximate costs of Internet browsing on a per hour basis?

What part of India are you from? There are hundreds of Indian restaurants in Qatar. Indian food is the best tasting in Qatar, I just love it and I am sure you will too.

hi Gautam,

In, National area (Doha) there are 3-4 internet cafes they are charging Qr. 5 per hour. Speed is medium.

Mostly depends on the speed of the internet connection. From QR5-10 per hour. And yeah there are lost of cafe's, you just need to know where to look.

There is one thing that isn't lacking in Qatar guamtazone and that is Indian food of all kinds. You won't have problems. As for the Internet Cafes there are some but I don't know how expensive they are. SOrry.

I also wanted to know cost of food in restaurants. I am a vegetarian and I really dont know if vegetarian food is easily available in Doha.

Is any north indian or south indian food available in Doha? What are some good and reasonable restaurants in Doha where I can get vegetarian food? What is the approximate cost of such food?
