Hello,

i will get a job offered in Doha and if ok i plan to move with my wife and 2 little infants there.

Pls can you help me on following questions:

a) what would be a perfect salary to have a nice life there? 2 adults - 2 infants

b) what do i have to calculate monthly for
- nice accomodation 3 br save area with pool - rental
- electricity/power/ other costs at home
- a nanny (half day/full day/living with us)
- a car (size vw sharan or chrysler voyager)
- food for cooking at home, sometimes going out
- kindergarden or school
- other living costs, clothes, etc...

c) what other things have to be observed like
- medical aid (do i have to pay by myself or not)
- insurances
- other things which need to be focused

d) i also want to save approx 6000 QAR/month that it will be worth for us to go there.

Would need a roughly total sum what this would be and if this would be realistic for this market.

Thanks in advance for every helpfull hint,

Regards

lol ste is WAAAY off... 50k? for a 'nice' life? He didn't say he was going to live in luxury lol.

I'd say 30 is the spot.

@jack, some of your numbers are wrong

3Bedroom with pool = QR30,000/permonth approx

(a 5 bedroom villa, with private access to a garden and near a private beach in the Lagoon, Westbay, is 32k!)

Car Monthly Installment = QR4,000

(or get a Lancer rental for around 1,600 a month. Or aim for something like an X-Trail and pay around 2,900 a month)

I really don't think you can save QR 6K if you make 35K and want this lifestyle. Of course some of the things listed (housing, car, schooling) should be either paid by the company or at least an allowance in addition to your base salary.

What type of industry are you in and what position are you looking for in Qatar?
