Half of those who answered you that it's Haram are drinkers ..

The other half are muslim by name cuz they were born to be muslims

There are no real muslims now a days .. if there was .. it wouldn't be the case in Ghaza ..

I don't wanna get into politics but for God's sake .. Stop acting so wisely and religious ..

He asked a question if it's possible or not to get a license .. he didn't ask any one of u if it's Haram or Halal..

Cuz every one know that it's not ..

and BTW for those who were so much clever n smart to ask him to convert in another religion ..

There is no religion on earth said that drinking is Halal. it was banned and forbidden in all religions and consider as a sin. if u r concerned about wasting ur time with such a Question then just turn the page and go on ur way. why u waste ur time for ur precious 2 cents

Pls don,t insult islam n muslims by askng such questions. If you are a muslim you know it is wrong .so don,t say you are a muslim. If it,s fr business reason also I think its just an excuse. ther r wondrful gifts if ur a wonderful person by heart ,moral ,dignity.Respect ur religion n ur family.

"Actually, guys, I think it's a valid question. If his job includes a lot of business networking with non-muslims, eg. westerners, etc. he would need to buy as gifts, etc. He won't drink it cos it's haram for muslims. "

The terms and conditions of the liquor license forbid buying alcohol for anyone other than the permit holder so what you are suggesting is also illegal!

I just found out - there's a quota for the amount a license holder is allowed to buy per month. So it stands to reason that some people would need to have that licence for business (not personal) purposes.

Why bryng Islam & being a muslin into this. If you are a muslim you know it is wrong so dont say you are a muslim. Your name does not make you a muslim. On the application for insert some other religion and enjoy your licence. It is not for us to Judge you

I am not sure where people got the idea that any Muslims (whether non-Qatari or not) could get a liquor license. It is simply NOT true. On the form you fill out at QDC for the license they ask your religion. If you say Muslim or Islam, the license will be denied. I know this to be true as a Turkish colleague of mine tried to get one (and yes he had the required letter from his employer) and was turned down. Yes, if you wish to lie about your religion, you can get the license.
