We should know all rules and regulations, specially regarding visa and travel before entering any foreign country.
Yes. one of my colleague also had the same problem. very bad that these things are never shared with us. We only learn with experience.
:) this is funny.. yeah, you don't know about exit permit until you want to travel.. One our client's employee came to qatar on Work visa very recently. About a week later the client is calling us: "help! the guy is stuck at the airport, they are not letting him out!". ...Who stuck at the airport? Why he is at the airport in the first place? Where he is going to?... It turned out that the guy (USA citizen) decided to travel to Dubai for the weekend, and was shocked that they didn't let him out.. He simply didn't know that he needs an exit permit to leave the country.. that was funny..well, not for him of course.. let alone that he eventually didnt' go to Dubai, but he also got his first shock in a shape of "Exit Permit"..lol.. :):)
yes it is a trap.
