I am working in India and the company has got a division in Qatar. I got an assignment in Doha for a period of 2 years and the parent company is insisting to join at the earliest. I am little worried about the cost of living in Qatar. They company will be providing the House and transportation and monthly Sal of 2000 USD. I am married. Should I take up this offer or continue in India.

Suggestions are welcome.

It's good to have a list with all health centers. I would like to ask though if anyone knows a rehabilitation center.- FXDD Reviews

if you don't have kids, $2000 is good enough. Check how much they increment they will give you yearly and add that into the contract. Make sure they provide 30days, paid annual leave for family and schooling is covered when u have kids.

Not to mention schools are expensive. Negotiate for more if you just have a wife, and if you have kids, negotiate for schools fees and a little more. It is an adequate amount for a single man.

2000 USD is QAR 7300/- It is not enough to bring your family along with you in DOHA

You need QAR 10,000 per month to get VISA for your family

well considering that they're sorting you out with accommodation and transport; 2000 USD is 7300 rials which is 100000 rupees all for yourself each month. compare with your current take home pay in india and that should clear the scene for you. If you are bringing your wife, make sure you are allowed to. And if you have kids, well then 2000 USD isn't enough. Best of luck.
