Paying speeding fines in Qatar ....

Does anyone know if you can pay speeding fines online? if so, what is the address of the website?

My husband been around Doha doing some police stations tours trying to pay his speeding fines, but all of the station have over 60 people on the queue and only 1 person serving. And take about 5 to 10 mins just to serve 1 person. By then the place would be close at 12noon.

He being told after new 2nd of october new law, he cant leave the country before paying his speeding fines.

Helps !!! :-(

Hi Novitta77

The link that you guys are trading has been stopped since Feb 2008 when the new government portal was launched. The new portal is called "Hukoomi" and the link to it is : www.gov.qa

Try it's worth the trial. Have links to all and every government agency giving information and online services. you can check and pay your traffic violation, renew you health card, check your visa status and many more services to come.

Government services are just a click away.

Cheers,

Getting online services as teensy as fine payment.... Let me think... ARE YOU KIDDING!

The payment portal will be up and ready when they finish developing it say early december 2009.

Most comapanies including th egovt sector, requiring IT workforce (which all establishments need to an extent these days) depend on ordinary clergy for their IT needs. Send an old clerk for a 40 daya IT short course and voila INSTANT IT-PERSON. And when operations go out of hand, they bring in a few westerners to patch up the mess. Why? Why? Why? Why not get real IT personal will real IT educationa and real world experience to begin with. This reduces cost, improves effeciency, increases chances of ontime implementation, better IT infrastructure scalability etc.... NAh ..its gotta be this way. Some slogs to show for IT dept and then bring in the BIGGIES with ultra large salaries to patch up the mess or better yeat some overseas consultancy firm to make presentations and proposals.

I just paid my speeding tickets using the link that TweetyBird offered.

Working:

http://www.e.gov.qa/TrafficViolationsWeb/checkByCarPlateNo.jsp

This other link that people have mentioned in this thread doesn't work. Use the above link and you can avoid the line-ups.

Most police stations are open for a night shift from 08:00 pm-12:00 am. Your husband can go around 07:30 or 07:45 pm, he will be the first to be served.

The night shift is throughout the week except Friday and Saturday. I am paying my ticket tomorrow at Khalifa.

Payment online, through E-Government, is not functional.

Good Luck
