Q-TEL BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
I HAVE RECENTLY INSTALLED Q-TEL LANDLINE WITH ADSL ON DEC.28TH 2009. HOWEVER SINCE 28TH UNTIL NOW I CAN USE ONLY LOCAL CALLS WHEREAS MY APPLICATION WAS FOR FULL ACCESS. I HAVE VISITED TWICE IN Q-TEL BRANCHES AND GIVEN THEM NEW APPLICAITON FOR THE FULL ACCESS AND LEFT SO MANY COMPLAINTS WITH Q-TEL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNTIL NOW NOTHING HAPPENED. ANY ONE FACED SUCH INCIDENT. I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT Q-TEL CUSTOMER SERVICE AS I HAVE ALREADY SPENT LOT OF TIME FOR THIS ISSUE. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.....
I faced the similar problem with Vodafone, where i bought a sim card through online purchase, i got it in 2nd day but unfortunately it took me 1 1/2 months waiting time to get activated!! I did online complaint as well as physical visit to the vodofone centers around the city. At last i complained my grievence with ICT Qatar, they are the Supreme Authority for the Vodofone as well as QTel. Immediately after filing my complaint online to ICT Qatar, i got call from them to know more about the case and they ask me to visit the iCTQatar with all documents in original with the first complaint ref. number. Anyhow on the same day I got call from Vodafone also stating that my card is activated given me additional benefits.
So, Mr. Martin, obtain your complaint ref.# and if the case is not solved in 31 days, you directly go to iCT Qatar, there you can get justice if the case is genuine.

I think it is better to put your complaint in writing to them by e-mail. You will find their customer service e-mail id in the qtel website. Send an e-mail to them explaining your issue. They will probably send you a reply within 3-4 working days. Give them all the necessary information like your Customer Number, Your Qtel Account number, your landline number and your mobile number otherwise they will ask you to send them which will take another 3-4 days to reply. They will regsiter your complaint and will give you a case reference number and someone will call you on your mobile. If they are not calling call them on 111 and check the status of the case reference. If you are calling them on 111 better to call them between 7:00am and 8:00am to get a quicker response.
Martin, better visit Q-TEL officials in person rather then posting ur problem on QL..Its just a genuine advice to u..
Regret to inform that my problem with Q-Tel still going on, i have give another fresh application for Full access on last Tuesday 19/01/2010 and they promised that within 24 hours it will be activated and until now its nothing happened may be Q-Tels 24 hours are not yet completed.
Similar kind of things happened to me as well. But it was resolved after a long time (approx. 2 months). So wait and watch. It will be all right one day, insallah.
yea really qtel now it is not gud, and now vodafone are giving 300mbinternet and voda to voda 33hrs 33mintes free!!
Telecom operators in most countries are the same. Their support is shabby. So dont expect Vodafone to create magic. Their service may be even worse than Qtel.
Hahahaha please post this topic to jokes section with Wahesh comments. Qtel will solve problems in seconds. How about you try calling 111 yourself and they will pick your call at least after 30mins hold
Q-TEL SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD I AM USING THIS LAST 15 YEARS BUT NOW CHANGED. I CALLED 115 LOTS OF TIME NO ONE PICKUP THE PHONE.(JUST TRY ONCE) IF PICKUP THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY EXPLANATION WAIT WAIT ONLY ONE ANSWER.

Qtel are promoting and full backing up their mobile services because they have a competitor; but as for landlines service is getting worse than ever. What they don't know is word of mouth and reputation could go down easily.
Let's hope vodafone service picks up so I can make the shift.
Q-Tel Customer Service is very bad. Everybody facing the same issue. What we do no other choice for Internet. Lets wait for Vodafone, they may start broad band service soon. If you try to reach customer care its very difficult. They will put in a Queue....very bad service.
Qtel is the best telwcom provider

,mobil , qatar net ( dail up ) and mmany more
i just call 111 they solve my problem in a seconds
I think from the day VODAFONE has arrived in DOHA, Q TEL has lost its reputation..
