folks thanks for your opinions. Honestly company pays 8500 + Accommodation+Petrol+Medical insurance+Utilities. Agreeing to The Birdie I am a north Indian kanjoos and trying to see at wat level I can set my budget and see my savings.....I am a non drinker but I smoke so I believe if i eat out at some regular joints (decent ones) and spend cautiously then I think I will be able to manage at QR 5000 (including a car cost of 1200 pm). For clothes and all I can anyway buy top brands in India and stock myself for a year.

It totally depends on your life style. Some people pay 2500 qar only for lunch. If you eat at biella or chilli's or somewhere like that with a drink you can pay 100 QAR daily. But on the other hand you can pay 20 QAR for a meal at and fast food chain. So yes you can live with that money but it depends on your expectations.

You as a single, with accomodation and transport provided and you control yourselves with your phones, wines etc. and live a modest life - yes you can go on dear, dont worry..

Milan, you dont get scared by the comments appeared here. I am sure you can, with 3000, provided company gives you accommodation + car free.

It depends upon the lifestyle. Some guyz wanted to show off their wealth, by taking coffee in Starbucks and dress from high-branded fashion stores.

As someone put above, Indians can live very well with 3000. Your monthsly expense can be fit in 1500 ( I mean food, not phone calls )...Secondly your name denotes you are from North Indian - Rajasthan.... Then must be more frugal / kanjoosi in expense.... ( No offence, dear )

as tess replies, it depends on your lifestyle. If you're from Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Nepal or country with a low cost of living, that would be sufficient if you're single. But if you're from other places, I don't think it would be enough. As the others stated, the cost of living in Qatar is going up and still climbing as the years goes by.

Besides, Nepali's and Bangladesh's works for 600-1000QAR a month and they are surviving in Qatar for years. It's still up to you on how you're going to spend your money. As of Qatar's lifestyle, you might end up saving your money since you can't afford to spend it here, or if you do, at the end of the day, your pocket would be empty.

Hope this might give you a hint.

Due to the high cost of living now in Qatar,QAR2500.00 is not enough. But anyway, it will depend on your lifestyle.
