Registration and work opportunities as midwife/lactation special ...

Xpat nurse

I have read through so many of the posting for nurses on this site and am not sure to look for work in Doha or try to do my own thing.
I will be joinging my husband, who is working there and will receive a sponsor visa.
Is anybody in private practice as a nurse in Doha, can I apply for a practice number?
Not sure how to go about registration also, can you register as a nurse with the NHA without a job? What is a experience certificate, that needs to be handed in with the registration?
I am a South AFrican registered nurse/midwife. I have a degree in nursing (B.Soc.Sc - nursing), with 10 years experience, 5 years in the UK in primary health care and 5 years in South AFrica in midwifery. I worked in a combined unit: ante, post natal, ceasar theatre and labourward. I ran our antenatal classes and just received my IBCLC qualification (lactation specialist). I also worked in a well baby clinic. Is there privatised baby clinics. Can I try to open my own babyclinic or do I have to work for a public/private clinic.
The diverse salary structuring is also annoying me. Can you argue for a better salary, or do I accept any offer?

HOpe someone will be able to assist me in what options are available.Thank you

There is no lactation consultant working at al ahli. Al Ahli have no right to call their midwife a lactation consultant!
