Traffic Violation - Qr300 / 3 points - What is it!!!

Recently I park my car near by fish market abu hamour after I come back i was seen in my car there is a sticker 300 riyals and 3 points.

Many cars are parking in that time in front and back of my car but there is no sticker. after these days I seen many cars in that position.

Biju, I agree with you that it is not a good practice but it is happening.

No still I will argue, you are transfering the point to someone by fake information about the driver, you are not transfering the point but someone is taking responsiblity for your mistake(which is not a good practice), and it is not legally allowded, this case people can do any kind of voilation and giving negative message to public how to overcome this situation, traffic fine is implemented not to raise money it is to reduce the traffic voilations.

No parking violation. While settle this violation if someone else drive the car then take his driving license to the traffic dept. and they will transffer the points to his license.

Qr. 300 fine with 3 points is for wrong parking. Guys please be careful. Now a days the Traffic Department is very active in checking parking violation. I used to see them fixing stickers on cars in wrong parking (evening time after 6.30)near Shara Asmakh and Abdulla Bin Thani area.

I suggest everybody to check violation for the number plate 1001 to know what is really happening in Qatar .when check the same number few months back fine was above 55,000QR. I think he paid the amount after making record and renewed Istimaraa

Some frequent violator taking money from others and transferring point in order to avoid license suspension . I wonder how the traffic department punish them. They don’t know who really parked there.

To find out that the fine is exactly for you will really need to go the police station (traffic dept) since my wife had the same problem and on line at the MOI website it said it was for some sort of parking fine, however when she went to Medinat Khalifa traffic location, it was actually for a speeding fine and they produced a photo to prove it. Sometimes they find it hard to categorise the offence under the correct heading

I went onto the website, but there is no description of the fine. Simply the points and amount.

QR300 for wrong parking? I just paid QR500 for our office car's parking ticket yesterday ! We have so many drivers, and the cars are registered under company's name, so, we used license of the driver who violated. Means it's transferable, right?

You can transfer the points to any person with a Qatari driving license that is willing to take those points.

It is not necessary that the owner/isthimara holder of the car drives it all the time !!!! If a friend was driving it and accepts he/she was then the points can be transferred !!!@##$@

One of my friend got 3 point with my car (he parked no parking area) he paid the traffic violation amt and transfered the point from my license to his license.How he did it, so try to know b4 your argument.

It's a parking violation. Yes you can transfer that points to somebody if you already reach the allowable points and if it's your first violation then no need to transfer just pay the fine.

Noufal, what non-sense you are writing how can he transfer the minus point to someone??!!! they are not fools they will check the car registration and drivers licence?!! Dont give misleading information that may put others in trouble.

You can transfer the points to anybody who have driving license in Qatar. Contact Traffic Dept with his license.
