depends!

some companies operate double shift, various permutations existing, as an example some work 8-12 4-8pm

for 6 days a week. Normal Qatari practice is 48 hour week, with earlier finish on thursday, friday off for most workers. Pure hell!

now a lot of companies are changing but most want their pound of flesh! 45 to 48 hours is common + unpaid overtime for senior staff.

Government timings are better, usually 35 to 37 hours straight shift, This allows Qataris to visit their private businesses in the evening!

Find out before u come!

Depends where one is employed.

However, Qatar like all other Gulf countries, starts to work early say 0700 hrs to 15 or 1600 hrs.

Friday is your weekend & if lucky, your employer may add a saturday to it. All Govt org work 5 days 0700 hrs to 1500 hrs.

cool isn't it ?
