doha became very expensive after the asian games and the rise of sky scrapers and boom in the construction which led to demolish small villas,old building wghich were providing cheap rents to many middle class families ,and due to shortage of living space ,the rents gone up and its effcting in each and every corner of a middle class families life.

Actually it might be Doha and not Dubai...in Dubai the consumption is just higher.
