How about flashing car head lights when the traffic is jammed on the road or when you are driving on the speed limit with the radar right in front of you? Still is it a polite behaviour? I drive at speed limits on the Shamal Road and for the drivers who flash at me if I get a chance to change lane I will allow the hurrying PRIVATE car driver to pass by or else I will continue on the speed limit. If I also increase speed without control, it will definitely cause an accident.

I get really pissed of when the pick-ups, mini-vans, trucks driving on the fast lane flashing lights or moving from the middle lane to fast lane suddenly without any warning. The best joke is these includes Woqood Trucks and even Karwa Buses. I am really surprised to find that there are no laws enforced against such vehicle drivers for their aggressive driving.

if you want to drive slow then getoff the fast track ... how else should they inform you to move the track other than blinking the headlight on you ... the more emergency he has the more blinks you get till you move ...

Actually it is not only on fastlane people blink.. I drove in the middle lane.. and both lane on the right and left were empty... and the stupid was still blinking me.. naturally I did not move... in fact I slow down... i think that's what everyone should do when being bullied

i dont think its a impolite way if you dont want to move while he blinks you go much faster than him he will never hit you( if you are brave) if not move and let him go. he might needs some whr urgently. :) and he may have money for paying radar tickets as well

you can use middle or last track where no one will blinks light on you if someone does no need to move unless some police or ambulance..

That is very normal .. specially if you drive way lower than the speed limit of the road ..

it's normal here in qatar and way/ showing impatient behaviour along the road..most especially WANNABE qatari expats..so if you want a good mood and a pleasant day ahead before you reach office..stay away from the lane called...FAST LANE.

that is an everyday life in qatar road....we have to live with it.

the trouble.. is that most people abuse it .. and just bully other cars creating hazardous situation .. disrespecting people... even children sitting in those cars... tailgating and flashing is a serious traffic problem in Doha...

You are joking right ? I consider it to be rude.... unless the person is in the wrong lane and/or too slow... but then again... one should do it gently.. may be only once ... or take another lane

i consider those as culturally polite way of saying "excuse me, may i pass ahead of you".
