Hi all. I shall be moving to Qatar within the next month and am looking for 2/3 bedroom apartment / villa preferably with access to pool, gym, internet etc. I shall be working in Messaieed and therefore am looking for somewhere within travelling distance.

All suggestions (clean please) most appreciated.

If you like pubs, Wakra and Messaid are not for you!

Anywhere in the vacinity of airport road is good for commuting. I live on Ras Abu Abood and drive to Messaid every day - it's around 35-40 mins depending on traffic.

There were a couple of ads for new buildings in Mansoura/Najma area which would probably meet your requirements - they are also on the same side of town as the road to Mesaaid so travel (about 20 min?) should be OK as you would probably be going against traffic.

I'll try to track down the contact details - in the meantime there's an ad in today's paper for "Lavender Residence" which offeres 1/2/3 bedroom plus all your other items - If you like I'll PM the contact details - I don't know the building or the company or the landlord - this place is closer to the centre of the city and would add to your commute time.

Wakra might be an alternative for you - however, it is a small town so the amenities like a grocery store of the type you would be used to aren't so readily available and I'm pretty sure there is no place to go and have a malt or grape beverage. That said, I like Wakra - it's got a good beach close by and a Pizza Hut so it's not a total backwater LOL
