Cell phone network

Hi all,
My cell phone can work on GSM1800, GSM1900 and EGSM900 networks. May I check, does Qatar use one of these network as well (i.e. I can keep using my existing cell phone while I am there)?

It works with CDMA, not GSM.
Does the PPC 6700 Smartphone work in the wireless Qtel network?
Qtel confirmed that they do have GSM1800 network, so you will be able to make and receive calls. Inshalla. :)
How do you know for sure that Qtel works on GSM 1800? :) I've tried their customer service with this question, well, it is like asking a house cat about nuclear physics.
You can try write to [email protected] and ask, but it seems, that you will need a new phone for Qatar.
My cellphone does not had the 900 MHz band will it work with Qtel. I know qtel works on 900 and 1800 bands. But my cellphone does not has the 900 band so will it work in Qatar or not

Qtel work with GSM900 network. Most definitely with GSM1800 too, but there is nothing about that on Qtel website. You have extended GSM900, it will work in normal GSM900 network here, don't worry.
