Could you name some of the good areas to live in Doha? By good I mean, safe, clean, convenient, decent shopping close by, relatively quiet, etc. My budget is approx. QR8,000/mo for a 1 bedroom.
And thanks to those who provided me with some hints previously.
I`ve moved over 14 times in the last two years so I can tell you where not to go(HAHAHAHAA) I live in Al-Waab near Vilagio & hayat Plaza the best two malls in Doha you will ever find(even carifour in Vilagio Has much more than City Center & Landmark Pranchs(I`m talking about grossary only) it`s a Perfect Place to find A quite life but you need a car in any place in doha, here are many Compounds & also a shared Villas for family or else you can have a Master bedroom attached bath & a small place for a kitchen around 3500 to 4500.my advice to you don`t spend much money on rent you better spend it on yourself to enjoy life & also reduce the presure of being in another country.
Live anywhere from the airport area to West Bay to the University and find the best unit you can for the least amount of money, Do not patronize unrealistic landlords who still want big money. rents are coming down if you havent noticed.
Abu Hamour is the most geographically convenient and a decent neighborhood... But don't come here we got enough traffic ;) ;) ;) Hahaha !!! Just kidding ;)

Old Airport (Mataar Qadeem) is a great area. Close to lots of shops and easy access to Corniche, C, D and E ring roads. Also 40 mins to Sealine.
Thank you all for your tips. Could I find in those areas a 1 bedroom for 7-8K per month?
i agree with vips one. Abu Hamour is also quiet and rent per bedroom is not as costly as Al Sadd.
Hers a tip.
