How do I take action against my landlord?
By Mr Weetabix •
My current rental agreement states that I will be given "absolute" access to my compound's facilities, including pool and gym, but the pool has been closed for over two months. The compound maintenance manager says that there's nothing he can do, and that I should speak to his general manager. The general manager refuses to take my calls. The contracts manager says that I need to take this up with the compound maintenance manager.
What action do I need to take before I start cancelling my checks?
Maybe the pool is broken and need to be fixed, i suggest for the mean time maximize the facilities your compound has to offer other than that pool. If you feel like you are betrayed by your landlord by not keeping his promised then forgive him and wait patiently, time will come : )

Welcome to Doha.....forget bout cancelling the cheques as there is no law or rental rule allowg you to do that....i suggest that you alongwith other tenants make a group protest to the landlord office which might result in some action and corrective action from their side...
