Is it legal to drive with two hands on the steering wheel in Qatar ?

I have noticed that most people drive with only one hand.
Is there a concern that the left hand may not know what the right hand is doing ?

Thanks for comments.

Have you ever stood and watched driving ?

I crossed using the traffic lights from Toy R Us to BHS ...After watching those u turns, I did not want to get back in my car and rejoin the madness !

A follow on question :

Is it recommended to place a child between the steering wheel and the driver to act as a crash cushion in the event of an accident ?

Your left hand should be on the steering wheel while your right hand scrathing your back when driving in Doha.

Technically I do have both hands on the wheel, the left one is on the horn to let other drivers know when they are driving like idiots.

Actually you are supposed to steer by moving your weight to the left or the right (similar to horse riding). The right hand goes - uh, forget it.

You are expected to use only one hand for driving and another hand for waving at people, begging motorists to give you way, making calls and receiving calls.

Hey, you people on Qatar Living should stop asking anyhow questions (unneccessary, unreasonable, Superfluous and redundant questions)...

Good luck and enjoy your driving in Qatar

No, you need to keep at least on hand free for the cell phone, and one foot up on the dash to brace for impact.
