License eligibility
Hi
A quick question about driving license eligibility. My son, who will be travelling to Qatar with the family, is 16yrs old and has what is called, in New Zealand, a restricted drivers license, this is not a learners, but an intermediate license before he gets his full license. Do you think he would be allowed to drive in Qatar.
PS. he is making me ask this question, I would rather he did not drive, 16 is just too young.
Cheers
Dave
The Arabic wording "Reaches 18 years" means he could get a license a day after his 17th birthday (they don't advertise that much...)
No he cant drive, Minimum age to apply license in Qatar is 18, I am afraid he has to wait another 2 more years.
No he is not allowed to drive here. Specially not on the equivalent of a learners licence. Age limit here for a driving licence is 18 years. If he has any doubt , check the search button. There have been questions about this before.
