Look for smb living in West Bay lagoon

Hi,
I am looking for somebody living in West Bay lagoon to share the oppinion about the pros and cons of this area.
Today we have visited a house there. It is a semi-detached house located on the same plot with another one like that (4 houses in total). The house is new. As tenants we will have access to the private beach, a tennis court, a play ground. The area is nice and quiet.
My concerns are that there are no other facilities in this compound. The quality of building is rather average (the same everywhere in Doha?) And no garanty that the landlord will provide with the discent maintenance. We saw him, he is nice and promices the sky and the earth but will he keep his word? Another concern is the road. Is it very busy in the morning? How much time does it take to reach Al Dafna (for the school) and Airport area in the busy hours?
If somebody here lives in a similar house in West Bay Lagoon, I would be thankful for any comments! We need to take a decision quickly...

The lagoon is generally a great location and the parks and beach are fantastic. The downside in most of these places is the quality of construction and the fact that they generally are private villas being rented out individually (or maybe three or four). It generally means poor, unreliable maintenance in comparison to to the better compounds. It's a trade off, and it's up to you which is the most important and what you can live with. As for myself, poor maintenance just drives me crazy, but I have friends that aren't that bothered by it, and love living there.

maintenance should be mentioned in the contract. if it's not... ask the landlord to write it there...
