TLS, do NOT buy linens before you cone! The bed sizes in Doha bear little relation to sizes in the US. It's an inch/centimeter thing I think. You can get reasonable linens at the Home Store or go upscale at Frette. Always go by measurement, not the name of the size (queen, king, etc.) And, guys, once again, it's NOT tax-free for US citizens. We may qualify for a foreign earned exception on part of our salaries, but that's not for at least a year and comes with strings. And don't forget state and local taxes, no exceptions there.

You could get anything from a Queen sized bed to a California King - it's not much use trying to buy bed linen before you come - but if you can contact someone here to measure the mattress - then you can get the linen cheaper in the US.

If there is some particular favourite food (canned, bottled or boxed) ask here if it is available.
