Nice compound near Airport / New Salata?

Hey everybody,

seems like we (me, my husband, our 2-year-old doughter) are moving to Doha, and even before Christmas!

My husband's work will, as far as we know, be near the airport. I heard something about New Salata, but don't know if his actual work will be there or just some offices relatet to the company.
We don't know much, but have to decide quite soon. He arrived in Doha today...

I found out, that most expat-families live in compounds and i think it will be the best for us, too.
Are there nice compounds in this area? I read a lot about Beverly Hills compounds and we first thought, we would be closer to Al-Rayyan, but now it seems far.

Any suggestions what compounds we should go for?
Large would be nice, to find friends, especially for our daughter. Playground is very important, Pool would be nice...
