I do not have slingbox in my house in the uk - i pay monthly subscription and had to download a couple of their programmes and that was it. Will try and get the web site for you -- they do great live support.

Also there is a free one month trial.

Were you required to do anything specific to get it up and running? Open up ports, etc?

slingbox from the UK with no problems - some slight picture distortion during busy internet periods but mostly watchable.

Any slingbox experts out there? I can't seem to access my slingbox here in Qatar but was able to watch it remotely in the UK. Any ideas??

I have a slingbox, bought it in the UK from Maplins at great expense.

Only trouble is it doesn't seem to work over here, has anyone managed to get it to work??

Depends on the time of day when not so many people on the internet you get better reception. But at least its alternative to TV here, thank god for slingbox.

one of my mates has a slingbox in UAE. You connect it up to your (or someone elses) TV at home, and it transmits live tv down the internet via secure connection. he has full Sky package so watches Beeb1 all the way to Sky Sports.

Just wondered if anyone here had done it?

(Need my fix of Emmerdale so I dont get homesick....!)
