which are the best areas for renting a house?

Me and my husband are going to move in Doha. Could you please recommend us some good and safe areas for renting a house? We have a dog with us. Do you know if animals are allowed in appartments, or we are obliged to find a single home? Are the prices very high?

if your husband is joining a company with a contract then he will be provided with housing too. which means 2 options either you will be living in a compound (single stand alone or semi attached villas ) and then i guess you can have your dog with you . other expats will be living there too from the same company.
if he is offered a managerial position also he may be asked to look for a villa which he likes then the company will pay for it then you have the choice but most people i know like compounds where facilitets are available like swimming pool ,club house, security etc...
Qatar is very safe you can be any where ( beside the Mall, land mark, Villagio) these are some of the shopping malls with compounds around them, very clean areas with established services.
