For family ... better is SUV (GMC YUKON, ACADIA or CADILLAC ESCALADE, SRX) but if you are interested in sporty faster car then you may choose SUBARU WRX STI or CADILLAC CTS COUPE or SRX.... which are more included safty featuresss with faster speed...
both are nice car. for me I like Maxima. why don't you buy SUV 4x4 its more safety...
both are good cars but maxima is a better choice
Buy a 4x4 which is stronger than a sedan and has good road clearance. I'd say buy a Toyota Fortuner. A used Fortuner would be about the same price as a used camry or of the same year. But Fortuner with its huge suspension and 4x4 is the better and more durable family car.
The 2011 Maxima is a killer, both looks wise as well as price wise ;-)!
Just go for Maxima 2011 model.....
