Withdrawal of Contract on Flat
By isangkuzang •
Dear guys,
I don't know if there had been any discussion about this. I hope you will be patient if there was.
Anyways, I have entered a 2 year contract for our flat starting May 01, 2009 but sadly our visa will be cancelled as my husband will be ending his contract on April 30 this year.
Is it possible for me to cancel or discontinue our contract.By the way, the flat is under my name and i'm under my husband's sponsorship.I issued 12 cheques and 1 blank cheque.
Our last day here might be April 30, so exactly a year passed the contract.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi all,
I have the same case like the lady, my contract is also 2 years ending March 2011 and i signed cheques for one year ( last check for March 2010 - Next month), i didnt even signed a deposit cheque, but the problem i also want to move to another Apt., but my contract says clearly that i have to pay the full contract if i want to leave ( does that mean i'll have to pay one full year to the lanlord if i'll leave and what if i left without paying, what can he do as he doesn't have any more cheques on me)
Really appreciate if anyone could give me a real answer for that..........
You should not inform your landlord that you will be coming back. Tell him that your husband's visa is getting cancelled and all of you will be leaving Qatar by the end of April. You still have enough time to give notice to the landlord and you are vacating as you are leaving the country.
What does the contract say??????????? regarding the notice period. In some cases u need to give a months notice to the owner. Go through the contract and also check with the landlord as to whats the best possible option.
Thanks guys for the info.
But we are coming back again. My husband has another offer and he will be given an NOC but his company is not allowing a direct transfer and that we need to go back to our country first. So plan is he will be back the soonest possible time. Some of his colleage just went to Dubai then came back.
Although it takes time for me to come back as we need to wait till my husband gets his new RP before he can again sponsor me.
Yes it is possible because your visa will be cancelled
Very much possible. Show them visa cancellation as well.
yes it is possible because your visa has been cancelled and you are leaving qatar for good. you just have to talk to the landlord, tell him that your visa was cancelled so you will no longer continue your contract on the flat. tell him in advance, give him enough time so that he can look for other tenants.
