Lailatul Qadr for women in menses
Lailatul Qadr for women in menses
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
The menstruating believing woman can do everything to avail the rewards of ‘Layla-tul-Qadr’, except she cannot:
Pray any salaah or prayers
Cannot touch and read the Glorious Quran.
But if she wishes, she can spend the night in remembering, praising, and glorifying Allah Subhanah. She can also recite the Quran from her memory, and most important of all, she can make as many supplications to the Merciful and Benevolent Lord as she wishes to do.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 1474 Narrated by An-Nu`man ibn Bashir
The Prophet (saws) said: “Supplication (du`a`) is (itself) worship.”
If the intention and ardent desire of the believing woman is to worship her Merciful Lord during this Great Night, but due to a valid and natural reason she cannot pray the salaah or recite the Quran as much as she would like to; she should rest assured that her Lord is well aware of her condition and He will give her a full reward for her noble intentions.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.1 Narrated by Umar bin Al Khattab
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions, and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended."
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
