Hello Everyone,

Please note that I went to main immigration office today to apply for Visit Visa for my Father(Age 72) and Mother(Age 68). The immigration officer rejected my Father's visa application with reasons related to age but accepted my mother's visa application and asked to check after 3 days. I tried convincing them about it but to no avail. Please suggest on what I can do now ? Will it be of any use going there again or is there any other option available ?

for a family member >60 years of age, a medical report (approved by Qatar Embassy in your country) stating that he/she is fit to travel will definitly help.

Try Mesameer ( Abu hamour) immigration and go to Officer in charge not the officer on reception . Officer In charge with Higher rank, Crown & Stars on his shoulder

Get a Canadian passport, then get visa on arrival.

thanks for the response...Not possible for me to get it from any 5 star hotel...checked with a hotel but it seems the age restriction applies to tourist visa as well so thats difficult as well..in some cases they issue it with extra fee but will strictly be for 1 month...things look really tough...

Very difficult. If they book with a 5 star hotel they can get the visit visa for them.
