Visit visa for a 80 year old parent
My fiancé's dad is 80 years old residing in London and we want to invite him over for a visit. Now what I have heard that If you are over 70 you can't get in on a tourist visa at the airport even if you are a westerner. Is that true? Did anyone have a similar experience? Would appreciate some feedback..
I think this link will give an idea about Visa:-• Visit Visa for Qatar
• www.SheenServices.com/visa
so looks like they have diffferent standards as per the colour of the papers they carry and just does not seem right in todays world
Hmm, Western people, even the elderly, usually have health insurance...so I can't see there being a problem.
But it's best to find out for sure.
Maybe the gentleman can call the Qatar embassy in the UK to get information on the issue?
As far as I know, there is an age limit because they don't want the elderly to burden the health service.
I would suggest double checking - especially with QA
hurry ..
better to contact agents in airline to verify the visa if upon arrival or not... :D
Yeah my father in law is British but as I mentioned earlier he is 80. I had heard sometime back that anyone over 70 irrespective of their nationality would not be eligible to get a tourist visa on arrival unless they have a comprehensive international medical insurance.
for vork visa only have age limit, if you are family visitor or tourist there is no age limit if you are fit to travel and healthy just submit proper document at emigration you will get visa very eesyyyyyyyyyyy...god luck and make your parents happy.
If they are holding british or USA passport shouldnt be any problem . My parents in Law visit Qatar without any problem having age above 75......
