Spinneys @ The Pearl Closed
According to Doha News, they have been shut down for a month because some weevils were found in a packet of pasta.
Seems a bit harsh - or is there more to this than we are being told? It's not a big place if they have to do fumigation or other remedial actions.
By the way, Spinneys have an 'Opening Soon' sign on the Medinat Centrale shopping complex in The Pearl.
Anyone know if they plan to have 2 outlets there? Or will the small one close down?
They are just checking the cleaner place, they don't want to get dirt in other.
Is this the same inspection process that for years didn't have a problem with the birds that lived inside the Giant at Hyatt Plaza, and would regularly be seen inside the salad section pulling out greenery for their nests?

and why was QDC shut. Did they find something else in the bottle instead of the original stuff

No idea. Yesterday I went to The Mall. Spinneys outlet was perfectly open.
