Accomodation - maintenance fine
By paradisevirus •
I left my previous accomodation, the maintenace guy is asking for 2000 QR for he thinks the walls needs painting, and i agree it do needs painting, as we had wall mounted the tv and clocks(hence the holes in walls) kids pencil work, stickers on wall.
My question is for 3 bedroom flat (all small size rooms) 2000 QR is correct amount for normal quality of paint.
Please suggest.
If u r going to do that like hiring some guys, u have to spend hardly 750QR. This includes paint, brush, hole fillers etc.
One of the previous company from whom I had rented the place deducted QR2000/- from the security deposit for a shoe mark on one of the walls on the premise that once they paint that area they need to paint the entire wall and then to match the color of that wall the other walls and then to match the color of the walls of that room, the walls of other rooms...basically a shoe mark resulting in repainting the entire place. And it was one bedroom apt with a separate living cum dinning area and American style open kitchen and I didnt make any holes in the walls nor stick any stickers and none of the other walls were in any way damaged....:( And since they were adjusting this on the last day of my tenancy contract and didnt allow me to arrange the painting myself, I had no other option but to let that amount go. Later I came to know that they deducted similar amounts from other tenants too though for some other reason. To me it seems one has to leave that kind of amount with some companies else they would cook up something else. However, in your case if they allow you to paint the house and you are willing to do so, it should sure cost you less than that but before that make sure they have no other items to deduct for.
Try to find a painter through any maintenance or hardware shops hire them buy paint and during weekends like friday you can finish with one helper below 1000qr
he asking 2000 for only service charge or he including paint and brush etc. charge also.
750 max - dont pay more than that
why u don't paint it.
i mean hire a guy to do that
Nope! maximum QR 750 only!
