One of my friends terminated a week ago and the management wants him to go back to his country. But my friend has a travel ban since last one year against credit card default payments. How the company can cancel him and to obtain an exit permit. His company is fully aware of his travel ban. Serious solutions/advises please.

Tell him to speak to his embassy. If his country cares about its people, they will help him.

One more alternative is that ur friend gets another job locally and can submit some docs in bank and they will lift the travel ban.

Most of these options are not good as at the end of the day it could be cheating..

Sense Mine, I got your point. His company is standing on the ground that he has to exit the country and they are preparing everything on that basis. My question is that can his company take exit permit at the immigration despite a travel ban?

See as you said above the management wants him to go back to his country..by doing that the management will give him final exit with cancelled visa ofcourse.

I have a friend with the same case, but the company help him to get out of the country with exit permit and return ticket with valid visa, so he managed to go home. After three months my friend got a job in UAE and he contacted the bank here in qatar and paid all his debt in two years. Would you believe....he is again working here in qatar! That is what i mean SN..but your friend case is complicated because seems like his current company not willing to help him.

dohaprice2, thank you for your valuable input. One PRO from a different company said the same thing. Sense Mine, how the visa can be cancelled and leave him inside Doha without any sponsorship and it does not make any sense. All expatriates including those who have criminal offence has sponsorship until their cases are resolved.

This is why you shouldn't get into debt, by doing so he has sacrificed his freedom of movement.

Cruel company indeed it's just because of NOC policy. For final exit with cancelled visa automatically he/she will get hold at immigration airport. But if he/she is going for emergency leave with uncancelled visa and valid exit permit from the company i think that will help him to go freely.

if "termination" from work is considered as "involuntary loss of work", most credit cards are well covered with insurance for that eventualities.

check the policy and terms of the bank or visit the bank and clarify.

Even his final settlement can't be covered his 1/8 portion of his loan outstanding. His company policy is not allowing him to get a release to work elsewhere to settle his outstanding loan.

your friend needs to pay first the credit card before he can exit to his country.
