Seeing as I am the only QLer with an eye for an avatar, I will assume this is directed at me...why does it bother you if I have beautiful eyes or not? Will it change your opinion of me? Are my comments only worth reading if my avatar is true to life?

when i buy a book, I do see if the cover and pages are of good quality or not; books with quality cover & papers are always costlier, worthier.

In the virtual world of make believe one simply cannot follow the judge the book by the cover approach. And specially in forums where you get all types, it's best to base one's notions of an user based on the quality of his/her posts, rather than the chosen DPs and usernames which in many aspects may prove quite an antonym to the person in question.

IMO there's always a link between person's persona and profile pic, taglines, comments; it's all connected, consciously or otherwise. A fat guy putting six pack pic shows,probably, his wish to be one.

DP wont make any difference...its their comments which makes them intersting or boring..btw who is talking QL seriously? Maybe it creates an initial liking and we relate the person to heir DP until we meet them in real..

yes your thinking is correct and in reality the same happens, the profile with beautiful face will get more attention and responses.
