Rash Driving By Taxi Drivers

I have recently noticed lot of Rash driving by TAxi drivers. One taxi just hit my car from back and when I asked the driver why they are always driving so fast, he replied that they are not getting fix salary now and have to pay taxi rent of about QR265/day they want to finish their trips and take more and more passengers. but while doing this they are endangering the life of others drivers on road and also the passengers in their taxi.

QTel is a joke... they are so tiny a company... 10 million customers...

that too all territories combined?... and those in Qatar are migrating to Vodafone...lol (in comparison Bharti Airtel has 183 million suscribers in India alone) and it is just one of the many operators.

Karwa is a joke... running taxi service of a Country with 5,000 cabs?... lol

BB that's called deregulation, kind of free economy; and you expect it? dreams!

if taxi business is open, who will make the money? 'an individual';

now with taxis under companies, who is making money? Karwa & other companies! while 'the individual' will work for a meager sum :)

It's simple economics :)

They shoud give Taxi Patent to Pathans... and take it away from Karwa...

I dont understand what this big problem is...

Give soft Car loans to the guys doing private taxi and get them to register so they become legal taxi drivers...

They will maintain their own taxi, pay the loan and do what they are doing now...

everybody is happy... the driver... the customer... the government...

Whats the problem?

Sometime you have really weird conclusions...

Anyways... what happened is that the government stop regulating this industry and it went crazy.. nowadays they do all kinds of delinquencies but the company management does not care anymore.. and the drivers conditions are very bad too.. most of them feel trapped... i met a taxi drive you actually encouraged me to complain and get him deported cause he wanted to go home but was stuck behind the wheel... I feel sorry for taxi drivers and I hope government steps up to do something about this situation and namely put pressure on taxi companies to provide decent terms to the drivers and demand them to follow the rules.
