New families moving to Qatar (like me), who have school going kids, be knowledgeable about the visa rules for family and school rules for kids.
1. For family visa you need 6 months bank statement.
2. Family can be here on visit visa, but kids cannot get admission to school on visit visa.

Bottom line, there is a possibility that you cannot bring your family to Qatar for more than 6 months, as you cannot afford to waste your kids valuable school days.

Can anyone please confirm whether it is true?

1. Yes. 6 monthly bank statement is must in order to apply for FAMILY VISA..

2. Yes. But there are few school(can't disclose the name here..i have heard it through my friends)who takes admission even if they are on VISIT VISA...Check your INBOX regarding this.
