Marriage Permission

Hey, guys,

Me and my boy friend needs some help on the marriage permission. He is Qatari, we met in college in the US. It has been 2 years since he graduated and back to Qatar for work.We still feel like madly in love with each other, so we decided to get married.

Be aware of the marriage to a foreigner is kind of difficult.I would love to know what kind process we will have to go through, and what we need to prepare for.

Thank you for the advice in advance.

Qataris need permission from the government to marry non-Qataris. This permission is difficult to impossible to obtain.

I mean the culture.. For him, I am sure he is a one girl guy.If not, we wouldn't have been through the 2 years long distance relationship.

listen Mushroom...falling in love and doing marriage is not what matters.. but taking this relationship to rest of your life does matter .. Arab ppls do so many marriages they never have one wife to live with.. its their heredity. if you are ready for another women with your Lover/Husband in future then go on..

Well,BOXBE13, Thanks for replying.

I am a Muslim already actually.

He is busy with his brother's wedding, just do not want to bother him a lot. I wish I could do something on my end to make this simpler.

Make sure before you get married his parents accept you and you need to revert to islam and then do nikah (2 from your side and 2 from his side as witnesses)...As marryig to a qatari should not be complicated..why dont u ask abt the procedure to ur qatari bf...he should be knowing all these
