Hi Shakeebaj

Hopefully I will be moving to Qatar soon (Visa awaited) joining one of the IT company under Al-Mana group at a sal of 20K QAR.

My question is similar to that of TCOM Engineer.

Considering the position, salary, and the fact that my parents are currently 56, I have the following questions:

1. Can I expect to get an RP for my parents?

2. If not, then how easy would it be to get a 6 months Family Visit?

Congrats on being selected as a telecom Engineer at Qatar.

Me too a telecom Engineer and I know how hard is it to find telecom-related jobs here.

Visa applicability is dependent on the following factors:

Your Salary :

Your Position: 'Engineer'?

Company:

Mother's Age:

Let me know, then I shall advise further

Congrats on your new job. For elders I think you cannot bring her on RP if she is above 60 and initially to sponsor family there are requirements like salary should be above 10,500k, house rental agreement and bank statement and the list goes on. But if you are joining one of biggies they will take care of the visa process for family (mostly they do). If you mother is above 60 then you can only bring her on family visit (some times very difficult to get for elders) valid for 6 months. If you can, put a request to company's HR to provide you the details and they might be able to give a clear answer if it will be your responsibility or they will help.
